Silver and Steel Jewellery Making Course!
  • Silver and Steel Jewellery Making Course!

Ever fancied making your own hand made jewellery? Well dream no more! Bills workshop is hosting a one of a kind day pendant and jewellery making course with the fantastic silversmith and jeweller, Jen, from Pine in the Valley! This course covers the basics of both blacksmithing and Silversmithing crafts where you will work with 4 types of metal to create simply unique jewellery from necklaces to rings!

Spend half the day in the forge with Billy producing traditional hand forged symbolic necklace's or talismans runes from Traditional wrought Iron before forming beautiful swirling pendants made from solid steel. Forging them traditionally in a coal forge with Hammer and anvil, You will then adorn your pendant with leather lace to complete them all while in the stunning woodland forge where fire meets metal!

With Jen you will learn fundamental silversmithing techniques and get down and messy with sawing, drilling, soldering (and the all-important polishing!). We will explore texture and mark making with traditional silversmithing tools and designing with metal stamps. At the end of the session you will come away with a textured copper pendant and a unique recycled sterling silver ring, textured and designed by you.

At the end of the day you should have at least 3 new pendants and a hand hammered silver ring! A new jewellery wardrobe to suit any style at any event, be it the festival goer the new everyday favourite!
